WILCOX MEMORIAL PARK - DUTCHESS COUNTY - PRESS RELEASE
Wilcox Park Weekend Updates - Please Read!
Sprayground Opening Delayed 😞
Lakefront Beach Opening as Scheduled 😁
4-H FREE Family Event 10am-3:30pm Sunday, June 2nd 😁
Sometimes the best-laid plans go awry. A mechanical part issue has delayed the opening of our new Sprayground at Wilcox Memorial Park in the Town of Milan and it will NOT be opening this weekend. Once the new part has been delivered and installed, we will share a new opening date as soon as possible, so stay tuned!
On the bright side, the weather forecast is gorgeous and the swimming lake is opening as scheduled — 11am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday!
And on Sunday, June 2nd from 10am-3:30pm, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County (CCEDC) 4-H program's "A-Fair to Remember" event is still on with LOTS of free, family friendly activities, animals, and demonstrations. There will also be food trucks where you can purchase great food and beverages — and there will be the chance to buy a Dutchess County Dairy Council Milkshake, just like at the Fair!! Come support our friends at CCEDC and have a great day at the Park!

ALL DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIP SUPPORTS CHILDREN IN THE DUTCHESS COUNTY 4-H PROGRAM
MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO EXHIBIT AT THE 2024 FAIR
Your support will help turn today's children into tomorrows leaders!
4-H'ers work hard year round, using their leisure time to master project-based skills. They use their:
HEADS to set goals, learn, make good decisions and solve problems
HEARTS to accept others, resolve conflicts and be sharing, caring people
HANDS to serve their community, help themselves and support others
HEALTH to be physically and mentally well so as to fulfill their potential
The opportunity to exhibit at the Dutchess County Fair enhances learning and allows our young people to receive acclaim for their achievements. They make memories and friends which last them a lifetime.
